Corelle Livingware 16-Piece Dinnerware Set
When trying to decide what type of dinnerware to bring, I went back and forth between Corelle and Melamine dinnerware. I ultimately decided on Corelle because I’ve read that melamine plastics can leach chemicals into foods at high temperatures. I try to be as health conscious as possible when making decisions for our family about what goes into our bodies. Sometimes that just isn’t an option but I do what I can to protect our health.
With that being said, Corelle was an excellent choice for us. It is made with break and scratch resistant Vitrelle glass technology, it’s lightweight and thin and it maintains it’s durability. I purchased the 16 piece set that includes 4 dinner plates, 4 bread and butter plates, 4 bowls, and 4 coffee mugs.
Even though Corelle is very durable you still have to be very careful with your dinnerware. We have broken 2 of the bowls when washing dishes and a knife handle hit the bowl just right causing it to shatter into hundreds of small pieces. Even after breaking 2 of the bowls, I still recommend them. The exact set we purchased has been discontinued, but Corelle is a very popular product and you can get it just about anywhere.
